Dying Easter Eggs
The older Luke gets the more fun we have. We were worn out at the end of a long day playing our first Dixie tee ball game. But, we still had the most fun being silly and getting messy. Chip told Luke, "The Easter Bunny brought me pickles when I was a little boy." Luke keenly replied, "Dad, you are not telling the truth!" The boy knows his daddy. After that, they both decided to go watch the game while they waited for the eggs to get dark enough. Oh my my, I have my hands full!

Benton UMC Egg Hunt
We traveled north a bit to the Benton UMC egg hunt. Luke filled the entire ice-cream bucket sized tub with eggs! We couldn't believe how many there were. We saw alot of people we knew there and had a great time. They had a cupcake decorating table and pictures with a live bunny followed by a picture frame making activity. What a cute idea.
Dying Easter Eggs
Chip took charge this year and organized the family egg dying festivities. He said he had been looking forward to it all day. lol. We really did have a good time. We had to leave the purple egg in the dye all night to make the right shade of LSU purple. Good times at the Campbell house.

Easter Sunday
Luke had a great time at Sunday school on Easter Sunday. All of the kids looked so great! Luke's new suit was a hit, for sure. He looked like such a little man. sniff sniff! I tried to teach the concept of Easter as best as I could. By the end of the class, they knew that Jesus "came back!" Seeing the kids all dressed up on Easter was so nice. They had a good time too.

EGGSTRAVAGANZA!!
Asbury UMC, our church, held its annual Eggstravaganza. We had to have it inside this year because it was too windy and cold outside. See all of the fun below.
Springtime Sunday Afternoon
Sunday afternoons are my favorite time because they are filled with homecooked meals, family time and fun. Last Sunday, Chip took time out on this windy day to try to help Luke fly a kite. For me, getting the kite into the air wasn't nearly as important as seeing father and son playing together. Of course, for the guys, the only thing that was important was getting that thing to fly. That's the difference between men and women. lol. After Luke went upstairs for a nap with Nana, we filled eggs for the Easter egg hunt at the church. Special times.
