Hollenshead Ranch

We headed out to the Hollenshead ranch with the top off the Jeep the other night. What a great evening. It never ceases to amaze me that animals will just walk right up to you out there. Luke got to feed the fish and we all roamed with the wildlife for a while. The land out there is so beautiful.

Komen 5K

I have gotten into running this year. Thanks to encouragement from friends, I ran my first 5K and signed up for a half-marathon next Spring. I ran with a group of teachers from school and did pretty well. There were more people there than I could have imagined. What a great day for a cause!

Chip and Luke got out of bed to come see me race. Luke was so excited because we have been reading a Little Critters book about a race between the little guy versus the big kid. He really wanted me to win. I had a hard time explaining to him that there was no way I would even get close. He just kept telling me to try my hardest. When the guys gots there, the huge crowds of people scared Luke. He just wanted to see his mommy win. It was still nice for me to wave to them as I neared the finish line. What a rush!

El Karubah Shrine Circus

Luke's class "pet," Perry the frog, came with us to the circus. Now, Luke can draw a picture about what he did with Perry this weekend. Ah, the joys of pre-K. lol.

What? Chip being silly?
Luke was more interested in the popcorn than the circus tricks. In fact, he asked to leave before intermission. I am pretty sure daddy bribed him. We got to come home to start making football snacks for the tiger game though. fun!!!

Me Poster

Luke and I had fun making his "me" poster for school. He wanted the border to be "tigers." We put lots of pictures from our Disney trip and tee ball. Luke also picked out stickers of race cars and helped glitter glue the word, "TIGERS" on his poster. Thanks to his awesome teacher, Mrs. Donna, for putting the extra time and energy to put projects like this together.
