We smoked them piggies and are BCS bound baby! This was hyped up to be such an important game. Likely the only game that could push LSU out of championship play. It wasn't even close. The energy at the game was unbelievable. Couldn't have asked for better tickets. What an awesome experience. BCS Championship here we come!

Tailgate
This year we went to the LSU vs. Arkansas game. Tailgating was hilarious and so much fun, as usual. Pops and Jason were cracking everyone up. The Golden Band from Tigerland is always my favorite. After tailgating we got to sit in the Stadium Club. I ate three bowls of their shrimp and grits. Maybe the best food I have ever eaten. There is nothing like being in Baton Rouge. This game was especially exciting since the Tigers were playing for a spot in the BCS National Championship game.

Thanksgiving
Aunt Anne hosted us for Thanksgiving before the LSU game. She always makes everything so comfortable for us. Luke got to sleep with Ben and they played so hard Luke could hardly keep his head up on the way home. We took the boys to the LSU store in the stadium the day after the game. We also made time to visit Aunt Doodie and Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Millie. Aunt Doodie showed off her latest pieces she had been sewing to Nana. We all got to hug Aunt Millie who isn't doing so well with her cancer. All in all, it was a very nice family visit.

Alissa's Going Away Party
Alissa moved to the Big D! Brigette gave her a really nice going away party while my dad was in town. So, dad was my date for the night and got to meet all of my friends. It was a terrific night. Lots of people showed up to wish Alissa well in her new job in Dallas. I see more shopping trips in the future for me.

Papaw's Visit
Papaw came to see Luke play soccer. Luke played a good game and the team ended up with a 8-2 record (we think). Luke had a super season, scoring three or four goals each game. It was so much fun seeing him love a sport and do so well at it. Papaw loved seeing his "Duke" get out there and play his very best.
