Chip and I took Luke to the Louisiana State Fair last weekend. We had a great time riding rides. But Chip spent the whole time being Captain Inspector making sure the rides were all up to code.
The carousel was our first ride. It was a little scary at first, but after we got the hang of it, watching Luke's amazement melted my heart.
This is a pretty bad picture of Luke in the choo choo train car. He was hanging out of his stroller whining for "choo choo" the whole mile 1/2 walk back to the car. He is obsessed with trains these days. Any time he hears the train go by our house, or the many planes go by (we live by an Air Force base), he says "choo choo" until I agree, "Yes, choo choo." I think we are going to do his "big boy room" in trains.
Here is the ice cream lift. This was a great ride, minus the carni who was blasting Metallica from his sub woofers. Don't they screen those people??? Chip tells me to be realistic about my expectations from these traveling gypsies.
