Carla~ mommy, sister, daughter, friend
passed away on September 24, 2012 after a long battle. The official autopsy results showed she suffered from severe pancreatitis.
She joined mom (Grandma Janie), Carman's dad Phil, our brother Keith, her dog Shasta and many other loved ones in heaven.
After a battle of our own, Carman Jane came to live with us on October 25, 2012. This was a scary adjustment for all of us, especially Carman. But, as I write this two months later, I can't imagine life without her. She has blessed our lives with her quick wit, spunk and energy for life. Our lives are forever changed and forever touched by God's plan for our family.

The community of people at Jen's school rallied around her. The Danceline girls donated many items. Katie Crawford (librarian/ friend) and Becky O'Neal (teacher/ friend) of Jen gave Carman all of the school uniforms she would ever need. It didn't take long for her to get used to them. lol.
Sweet cousin, Kathleen, wrote Carman the sweetest note welcoming her to the family and sent much-treasured books and "girl stuff" for her to enjoy.
Making headway~ The sheets, zebra-print for a spunky and sassy girl at her request. Purple~ the color of her room back home. Carman doesn't have a problem making up her mind; she insisted this also be the color of her new room.
The bedroom furniture set bought for me by Grandma Janie. I remember being giddy when Wright's furniture delivered it to the house on Cloverdale. You can see her zebra backpack in the mirror. I had fun getting it monogrammed with a 'C' for CARMAN!
Molly Beth Duddy and Mary Jo Duddy (counselor/friend) were instrumental in gathering support from my school. Mary Jo had dinner delivered on the night we arrived at our "new" home. Molly Beth had the high school Tigerline girls sign this canvas with the bible verse from Song of Solomon. Precious people I am lucky to have in my life.
Molly Beth also had the Tigerline girls buy Carman's bedding~ fit for a spunky girl like herself. Nana had the corkboard custom made for Carman at Canton. The room and our hearts were getting ready for her arrival.
Even Bella is wondering where she is....
Our new addition~ forever keeping us on our toes and understanding that it is always God who is in control of our lives, and never ourselves.
